Almost every muscle can be trained with a sled. Abs, shoulders, hamstrings, calves, etc.. The carryover to everyday life is huge. All physical activity requires us to overcome resistance.
Sled drags will help your sprinting. They teach you how to apply force to the ground with a forward body lean. It’s hard to sprint slow and transfer power to the ground, it’s easy with a heavy sled.
They are great for building strength, muscular endurance and lactate threshold..aka feel the burn, better yet…push through the burn.
