Don’t skimp on your Mobility and Warm Up!
Spend some quality time with an empty barbell while warming up. Weightlifting requires a vertical torso when receiving the barbell in the Snatch, Clean and Jerk. That is going to be difficult when you sit in front of a computer screen all day.
If we are starting from the bottom up work the ankles then hips to improve squat depth. Then spend some time on your thoracic spine and shoulders. Once you have are finished working your mobility corners, got some blood flowing, and have elevated your body temperature. Now it’s time to prime your central nervous system. Start moving an empty barbell through some complexes with an emphasis on speed. Now you are ready to start lifting.
